[SEL] OT - truck question

I understand, but last year I spent on repairs only a little bit more than
payments would be on new.
The mileage - 10-12 is horrible compared to new, so some of the money
would be made up to an extent.
Safety - Ford's better idea of rear-only anti-lock brakes is just plain
stupid - and dangerous. The truck can't stop a straight line.
There's a shake in it that several thousand dollars could not repair -
light braking is ok, moderate to heavy she'll shake your lunch out of you.
A dealer and an independent shop spent a lot of time and money, thought
they had it, but it's still there.
Gutless 351 - it's a pain to pull my trailer with it on the hills in
Eastern Iowa. Can barely keep up 65. When I went to PA, I had trouble
keeping up 50-55 with it. It's rated at what, 280 some horse, where the
new are closer to 400.
The rust termites have finally found it - not bad really for a 16 y.o.
truck of that era. You have to look to find/see it.
81,000 miles.
Need the extended cab........ and look forward to better braking systems
and stability.
