Which engines is in your truck?
In the 1972 there is a 360 ci. - It gets around 13 mpg
In the 1998 there is a 4.2L - It gets around 13 mpg
In the 1995 Buick Park Ave. there is a 3.8L Supercharged - It gets around 13 mpg.
Seems 13 is my lucky number.
Joe "Pip" Betz said that.

I won't get into the Chevy vs. Ford thing - until I bought this 95 F250
4x4, I had only owned Chevy and Jeep trucks. It's been an ok truck save
for the 2K spent on suspension and steering and brakes trying to get a
brake shake out of it, and the wimp engine.
Sounds like the gal should have traded her husband for the truck! ;-)
Which engines is in your truck? (again, they've changed since then, but
for comparison purposes)
I'm looking at a Chevrolet 1500, pretty loaded with heavy towing axle and
a 6.x liter engine, 6 speed auto. I've looked at the 2500 as well, am
torn, but not sure I need the 2500 as you are not the first person who has
said they've hauled their classic cars or old engines with a 1500 just
fine.
My Ford gets 10 loaded, 12-13 unloaded if that. Push it past 60-65 and
watch the gas gauge drop.
