[SEL] Witte Eng help needed

Hi all,
Trying to set the timing on a older 3hp Witte with a EK mag.  I could use a detailed pic of how to set the timing for where the trip arm and mag should be set to fire correctly. I am not sure if all the parts are there as some one prior have stuck some flat washers in with the trip arm spring, trying to compensate or something. 
Any and all help would be appreciated.
