I think that as so many folks did get the .avi files downloaded and
working, that a server problem is unlikely, but as you say, it's a
moot point now.

The change over to .wmv was made as it was obvious that it was causing
unexpected problems with the .avi format, and it was quite simple to
change the format and re-send the files to the two sites.

As I posted elsewhere, as I have the video editing software, and
DirectX9 loaded, I didn't 'see' any file format problems at my end.

If I get the time, I will chop out individual engine scenes and make
up some video 'quickies' featuring just one engine and one scene of 15
seconds or so run time.
