[SEL] was a "rant", now lightening

The safety rules for lightning may need to be changed.  When camping in areas that are prone to lightning strikes you are told to get into your car when there is a storm.  Heavy steel cars should protect the occupant because the charge should stay on the outer surface of the metal.  With composite or plastic car bodies a bolt can go right thru.  I have several trees on my property that have been struck over the years and seeing a portion of the tree blown away is impressive.  Thank Ben Franklin and get lighting rods if you don;t have them.
