When I built my house here 21 years ago I wanted lightning rods. I'd 
counted three trees on the lot that had been hit. I was told that 
putting lightning rods on my house would RAISE my insurance costs 
drastically. (Considered an indicator of high risk?)

I've had a couple of trees in the yard hit since I've been here. Had a 
TV and a computer fried. Oh yeah, and a heat pump compressor.
