Well it appears you will be going to Reidsville!
I don't know what the pin is but I'm wondering if it is a taper pin. Have 
you tried tapping both sides? I understand not wanting to hit away with a 
hammer so is it possible to measure both sides with a caliper to see if it 
is a tapered pin?
