Joe, United/Associated used a round leather belt to drive the fan. I
think it is 3/8" in diameter. I bet a long piece of oring cord stock,
glued together would work also.
Starbolt or Pederson should have the belting.
I always use a 6 volt battery on my low tension coils. I have been told
that a 12v battery can heat up the coil too much. I use those small
rechargeable gel cell batteries.
