[SEL] OT...DVD,playable in the US

That's what i am afraid of Arnie[ stuffing up the DVD player] .I rang the
help line for the player NEC ,advice I got was to open the disc drawer and
hit the 0 button 7 times .....that would give me a universal format.
I wonder if my friend in MO can get it transposed in the the US?
