Hi gang, Cider making is one of my favourite pursuits! For 30 years we spent one
week a year in England's biggest cider county, Hereford.
Close to my wife's families farm was a chap who every year made a large amount of cider
from the smaller orchards that were no longer big enough for large cider factories.
He scratted & pressed the crop brought to him & the orchard owner got half the cider.
Jeff kept the rest as payment.
Every year when I arrived I used to check & lubricate the machinery & get the Lister 3 HP running
well in time for the Autumn pressing season.
My payment was a weeks free cider drinking.

Unfortunately due to my wife's bad health we haven't been for a few years.
