Thanks Nick. I remember my dad used to have some type of material that
he could apply with a torch, sort of like brazing. I remember my dad
calling it "hardsurfacing" I've seen him use this on plow shares, on
backhoe and dozer teeth, etc. Now talk about some hard, it was tough
to cut it with a grinder. However, I've thought about it in my
application and I think it would be difficult to apply, and reshape the
piece to make it useful.
