[SEL] {SEL] A Unique Use of a Ford Model T Flywheel and Magneto Coil

Hi List,
When I purchased the Hercules Economy engine, I was given several  old copies 
of the "Gas Engine Magazine" and "Engineers & Engines".  In  the December - 
January, 88 - 89 copy of "Engineers & Engines" on page  43, there is a very 
interesting article by Michael Carwood of Wicklow,  Ireland.  He was in the 
process of building a Ford Model T magneto  demonstrator.  He only thing that he 
had built at that time was a  frame and arbor to hold a Ford Model T flywheel 
and magneto  coils.  This assembly was turned by an electric motor to generate 
magneto  voltage.  
Mr. Carwood ultimate goal was to turn the Ford Model T flywheel  with a buzz 
coil ignition hit miss engine.  Then, show that the engine  could be started 
with a battery and subsequently switched to Ford Model T  magneto.
I wonder if Mr. Carwood ever finished this project.  Perhaps,  someone has 
seen this unit or a similar setup.
