'Hand' reamers - the ones with the square for the handle have a taper lead in.  'Machine' reamers
are parallel without the lead in.

Use a hand reamer in your drill press.  Hold the reamer in the drill chuck, turn the chuck with
one hand and feed in with the other as the reamer cuts.

Reamers are designed for only cutting a few thou.  If you are going to remove significant amounts
of metal, use the nearest smaller drill first.

Do not use cutting oil on cast iron.
