hi my name is del I live in the uk I love to restore old engines

I have some to at the mo I am restoring a moffat-virtue

for my wife can you tell me where or how I can date this engine it runs well
my wife fell in love with it 

its a 2. 1/4 hp sn 32727 runs at 1000 rpm
