So Alec..why would you want a broken chain fall??? (initial post)

They are cheaper than working ones and its for decorative purposes, you know , "decor"
sorta like having a nice looking cady in the yard , looks good but doesnt work!!!!!!
 Unless the casing is broke , they are not hard to fix .
My dad found a 1ton one this week for 10 bucks, he liked it better than the one he has used at his house since 1969.Its a big mistake to change something that worked so well for so long, but I ended up buying his old one for 50 and that is fine by me. Still would like to find a couple more, they are getting very hard to find, a good working one, you know like a good maytag, hard to find.
