Hi Paul,
In the six years I spent working with a licensed master electrician we
installed a dedicated 20A circuit for every nuke box.
That said,,,,,
When I built and wired my house I never planned for a microwave. Ours
seems happy to share it's 20A circuit with the fridge, a counter outlet
that gets used every day and the outlet behind the stove that runs the
fan and light. It as never tripped in the 27 years since I built the
house.
So,,,
Do what you want. If I had the wire, and a spot in the panel, I would
run the dedicated circuit. If not then I wouldn't worry about it.
Have fun Sparky
