[SEL] OT What has happen to gasoline price?[ Australian view]

You may well ask what has happened to Petrol prices! Diesel here in the part
of Australia where i come from ranges from A$ 1.05 to $1.10 a litre, petrol
sometimes gets to A$1.10 a litre,yes i know it is even dearer in other parts
of the country ....try crossing the ''Nullarbor. Interesting how the price
of the  US Barrel can fluctuate but the price at the bowser remains the
bloody same. Of course in our country the bloody bastard govt take their tax
according to the retail price so they are not going to even start thinking
about trying to reduce the cost to the motorist .Funny in the lead up to the
recent Federal election there was not one mention of the oil prices by
either parties!
Any way it has stuffed up my trip to the National Rally at Naracoorte, just
too damm expensive ........just a thought ,wasn't the invasion of Iraq going
to eleveate the problem?
