According to Karch numbers from 50000 would seem to have been built in Evansville. The first 40000 Economy engines were Sparta. (ie built in Sparta MI.) The hopper design of the Sparta was VERY different that those engines built in Evansville. Glenn has a book on the Sparta engines. Keith can probably supply it. I'm sure that Marian still has some.
