Arnie, this is a terrible shock.  I had no idea.
It's hell losing one of the good ones.  My thoughts and prayers go out for Jacqui and all who loved and respected Jerry.

Folks,

It is with a sad heart that I pass along the news of
Jerry Evans' death. He died last night after a bout with cancer.

He was a good friend and a frequent contributor to the lists.
Jerry was also well known in the old engine community for the
beautiful brass engine plates that he designed and built.

He will be missed by many.
