[SEL] 22 hp stover fuel pump,, brass advice needed

Bill,
Funny this should come up, as Tony Leonard and I were just discussing this
earlier in the week.
I'm going to echo Curt Andree's comments on bronze being the better choice.
Brass is simply copper and zinc, not a very "slick" product.
Bronze has the additional elements of lead and tin, making it a better
material for things to slide against it. The lead and tin are slicker
metals and aid in making bronze a better bearing material. The common 660
bronze material will be perfect for your application. There is a CDA
number for this same material CDA 93200, maybe???, but any metal supplier
will know the 660 bronze nomenclature.
