Hi Peter,
Thanks for visiting my table at the Nuenen show.
I understood you have some questions about my Diesel replica.
It is a running engine indeed and it's a pity you did not actually see it
running because I demonstrated the engine several times during the day.
I have experimented with air blast injection but found it impossible to keep
the air pump in good condition.
Due leaking valves it exploded 2 times. I use now solid injection. I
actuate the plunger with a solenoid. This gives a very fast injection. I use
the engine driven compressor to fill a small bottle with 10 Bar of air
pressure to start the engine.
This only works with a warm engine. When cold I have to crank.
A few years ago I wrote a small article fot the Model-Engineer magazine.
