[SEL] New Year engine run?

I did start my 1 3/4 Herc S and Cushman 1 1/2 HP model 21 type X one crisp New Year at -12 F.
They fired right up too.
Of couse there was a one hour prep to get that result.
I started with 50 degree F tap water then went to 110 degree hot tap water for a while before I drained again and went with the nearly boiling water.
Those engines seemed to think it was Summer time already.
They fired up and ran sweetly.

How many of our "down under" friends are cranking up today?  It should be a simple matter down there -- they don't have to shovel the snow to get at the engine shed.

It's been awhile since I dragged out the Hercules.  I may have to do a brief roll out tomorrow.  I have done a New Year's engine run here most years with one of my more gamey (really) friends.

What is the coldest weather anyone has cranked up their old iron in?  A couple of years ago it was 4 deg. below zero (F) here.  Thats the one that sticks in my mind.  The Herc didn't start on the first flip of the wheels either.  And I didn't stay out long . . . .
