G'day Patrick,
I like that "basic" version of the register. I think I'll do something similar with
the Lorenz & Benz register to link in the photos.
I can understand why Victoria has a lot of Australs being the home state. Is NSW a
nearby border state or does it have a lot of population/farms/industry? Some reason
for having so many Australs after Victoria? I was really surprised by how few were
in the other states. It reminds me of the "California-built" engines that were
never seen east of the Rocky Mountains until stationary engine collectors discovered
the hobby and began moving old iron around.
When you have some free time (ha-ha) it would be neat if you could add some words on
the various business & logistics factors that led to the interesting distribution of
Australs. Keep up the good work!!
