[SEL] cell phone charging OT

Motorola cell phone charger has quit working.  I have an older  Motorola 
cell phone charger with the same identical plug in to phone.  Both  have 
output of 5.0v---550ma.  Anybody know why the older charger will not  work on the 
newer phone?
