HI Rick

Here is one option;

http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=26219/Product/NO__149_FLAT_SPRING_STOCK

This material so dead soft; cut form, and drill to your liking. Then have
someone with a furnace heat treat it and temper it to the proper springiness
for you.

Need some help gang. How does one cut/form flat plate spring steel? We
need one for the dog on the ratchet that advances the bolt of wood on our
shingle mill.
