[SEL] cleaning an engine

Jeff,
Both Gunk and oven cleaner will damage old paint.   Keep them away  
from your engine.  I like Simple Green and turpentine, depending on  
what I'm doing.  But keep in mind that even these can be damaging.   
Take your time and be gentle.
