[SEL] still new engines to be found

 There is definitely old iron still waiting to be discovered. Got a phone 
call last weekend from a fellow that knew I had some old engines. He had 
just gotten a Stover from the building it was installed in new. It seems the 
engine pulled a small lathe, a washing machine and a few other machines via 
a line shaft. The guy that gave it to him is in his mid 90's. He last 
cranked it about 10 years ago. I told him a couple places to get manuals and 
parts if needed as well as give him a brief overview of how things worked 
and what to check in order to get it running. He mentioned painting so I 
suggested to try cleaning with kerosene or diesel to see if the original 
paint was worth keeping. I also suggested photos for tracking pinstriping 
and decals. I also suggested he go back and get the washing machine! His 
main goal is to have it running again so the old gent that gave it to him 
can see it. He told me he had no reason in the world to have it. I promptly 
replied none of the rest of us do either!
