I have to jump into this discussion because it reminds me of my father
who was in his time a professional photographer, the Senior Citizenship
Judge of Canada, and in his retirement years was a Marriage
Commissioner. Oh and by the way he played his own full church organ that
he had in his house. My mother was a great cook and for a time I lived
at home with them while I was qualified as a Commissioner for Oaths.
Your "close call couple " reminds me of the very pregnant bride in
full white gown, a groom in blue jean attire and no shoes or socks who
arrived at our home at 11:00 am, told Dad they could not wait the 2
hours to get some better ID and whom we parked in our front driveway
which should have had "Quick; Sooner; NOW" signs for arrivals. Dad
married them , I signed a statuary declaration from their witnesses as
to their age and identity, Dad whipped out his camera and took the
wedding photo, strode over to the organ and played the wedding march,
mother put out a spread of sandwiches and goodies , and they were gone
off to where they needed to be lickidy split!

BTW, thanks to the members of the list who responded to my what show to
visit in eastern Canada and the States this summer. No firm plans yet
but some ideas for sure.
