In ultra high performance systems, it's an issue.  But you are  
absolutely correct about dissolved gasses, which are an even bigger  
issue.  You can pull a vacuum on brake fluid, right out of the  
container, and get a shocking amount of air.  It's not a big problem  
for grocery-getters, but for high-performance, it's critical.
