Bill, any loose parts should be replaced. It still sounds more like a brake problem than a bad front end. Loose front end parts usually show up when hitting bumps, starting a side to side shaking. Does it have a shimmy dampener, a shock mounted on the tie rod. If so replace it, if not, purchase a kit and install it. Runout is not a critical factor on rotors, what you need to check is for fat and thin spots, with runout the caliper floats back and forth, possibly causing noise. If it has fat and thin spots it will grab and let go, causing pulsating. One cause of rotor damage is making a hard stop and holding your foot on the brake at a stop light. This cools the rotor in one spot while rest remains hot.In a sitiuation like this if you can let the vehicle creep it will help.
