Hi Doug

Correct, Buzacotts were just another of the many knock-off's of yankee engines! The first Co. to do pumpers was Langwill + Davies in Melb, very early perhaps pre-1920, almost an exact replica, but with mag (Dixie?). Others as mentioned with their various magneto types and positions up to the 1950's or so. The Kangaroo pumper (orchard sprayer) was a good one. A cast base, plain flywheel, rotary mag at back and pinion to drive a myers & bro. pump, vertical 1/2 barrel vat all on a cart with horse drawbars. Would like to find one of these! Then there was the no-name multimotor style, but not exactly like F&J's!! Nick's site is good for F&J or the 2 Vern Kindschi books.
