[SEL] Austral register update

Hi Tommy,
There are four engines in the USA on the register. The magneto engines are
scattered across the years as R-T refurbished engines at the factory or
fitted magnetos on site. From the early 20's more and more engines were
fitted with magnetos although lamp engines were still built to order. If you
want a magneto engine it would be best to find one rather than convert a
lamp engines. The parts to make the conversion would be difficult to source.
I have never heard of one of the cast wheels cracking under normal use. I
will admit to one of my wheels slipping off the ramp onto the concrete with
a thud but not even a mark or slightest sign of a crack. They are a very,
very high quality casting. R-T were slightly obsessed so the engines are
massively overbuilt which would be part of the reason for the astounding
survival rate.
