Go get one of the cheap film cameras. unlimited resolution. Take the 
film in and have them make a digital copy.

Or head to your local Wal~Mart and see what they have in closeouts in 
the 5-7MP area... For ease of use the HP units are pretty good.

My personal unit is a Fuji S5000 It's a couple years old, but it has a 
10X optical zoom and it takes 4AA batteries instead of the custom 
rechargeables many use. That can be a BIG benefit at a large show or 
event. Just pop in new batteries and your ready to go. It uses xD cards 
and can do short video clips as well. It has taken a beating and keeps 
going.

If I was looking for a newer camera now. I would probably get a 
Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ18. Larger zoom and better sensor than the new Fuji.
