[SEL] Old Iron Rebuild

Tom,
As far as I know the rings on the shaft were just to keep them clean.  This 
particular shop has a variety of ring on different sections of the shafting 
and they all seem to be piston rings from various engines.

Also as far as I know the bearings are solid, not roller or ball bearings.
