Elden,
I've been toying with the idea of putting a small diesel in an old
S-10 or Ranger pickup. Also had plans for a 4-53 Detroit in my old
crew cab, but that fell through long ago. I love anything
"oil-burner" related. I used to have a couple diesel VW Rabbits and
would love to get another. Unfortunately the prices for them have
more than doubled since gas hit $3.00 a gallon. Used to be you could
find one with a blown head gasket for a couple hundred bucks. Now
even the broken ones are $700-800 at the very least. Guess we're not
alone in our thinking...

I can't help but laugh when I hear some eco-greenie idiot preaching
how his stupid hybrid gets 40+ MPG. FOOL, I have a car that was made
25 YEARS AGO that gets 50 mpg. It has the versatility to also be
able run on heating oil, motor oil, vegetable oil, or any other low
viscosity oil you can possibly throw in it.
