Pounds... psi... hammers... prybars...
Stuck pistons... stuck bolts... stuck microchips...
Every job has a point where it can turn to "aw shucks,"
regardless of the methodology involved.

One thing about pressuring up a cylinder is that the cylinder will  
expand,
loosening it's grip on the piston, perhaps allowing lubricant into the  
newly
opened space.
