[SEL] Favorite type of engine

Here's a topic maybe people will participate in:

Do you have a favorite type of engine?  If so, why?  And how exclusive
are you to collecting that type?

By "type" I mean, vertical, horizontal, sideshaft, hit&miss, throttle
governed, air cooled, tank cooled, low tension, hot tube, inverted, oil
field, small, large, 2 cycle or 4 cycle,  etc.  In otherwords what type
or style of engine do you collect or prefer.  This is NOT what
manufacturer you collect.

For example, I've pretty much have decided that although I like most
types of engines I've been leaning more towards vertical engines lately.
Most of the engines I've bought the last few years have been verticals
and two engines that I'm interested in buying now are also verticals. So
although I haven't switched to only buying verticals it is a something
I'm considering.  Of course a cam stopper in my price range or some
other exotic would  toss the verticals only idea out the window! ;-)
