Great post, Tommy. I can just see the guys at the local shop scratching
their heads the first time they see one of these come in the door. Is this
used in any other modern application?

For those of you who, like me, needed a refresher on what the Atkinson Cycle
is, take a look at www.keveney.com. Maybe Matt's a list member, I don't
remember.

They build the Toyota Camry's here in KY about 100 miles from me. I was
just reading about their new engine design for the Hybrid Camry model and it
said this:

The first half of the combined 187 horsepower (same output as the 2006 Camry
V-6 3.0 liter) unit is a 147 horsepower, 2.4 litre four cylinder
Atkinson-cycle engine (a more efficient engine design)

Now if they'll just make it a hit and miss, we'll be set!
