Rick, I suspect that the CHEAPER alternative was the one chosen, not so
much the most effective known at the time. Many of the health effects of
the products used were known at the time of initial marketing. Asbestos is
one of those - the manufacturers knew, they just didn't tell anyone - that
is why people make money from compo claims. If the manufacturer of the
product tells you their product will make you sick and it subsequently
does because you didn't follow the MSDS then you cannot claim anything.
