OK Joe,
Just where do I find 600W stean cylinder oil????

  About making rope.
Go here and print out a copy of the very book that came with every New Era machine.
  http://www.wctatel.net/web/equityrealty/InstructionNewEraRopeMachine.html
What kind of machine did you get.

Kinda funny to read this right now as my gals, (Wife & Daughter) are right here next to me wanting me to get off this thing and go make some ropes. 8>))

I have been thinking about emailing you.
I have a corn sheller here that I picked up for Steve Barr.
Recently Steve told me that you had mentioned that you might come on over here to the Buckley Old Engine Show this year.
  Is that really true ????
That would be great to have you visit for our 40th show.

I would use 600W steam cylinder oil in it. Worm gear boxes often are
filled with it, which is the only reason it is still made.
I see you posting on the rope making list. I subbed to it after I bought a
rope maker at an auction. Now all I need to do is find the time to learn
how to use it.I bought a book on it from Lehman's, and even read it, but
that is as far as I got with it.
