I would use 600W steam cylinder oil in it. Worm gear boxes often are
filled with it, which is the only reason it is still made.
I see you posting on the rope making list. I subbed to it after I bought a
rope maker at an auction. Now all I need to do is find the time to learn
how to use it.I bought a book on it from Lehman's, and even read it, but
that is as far as I got with it.
