The Lister Start-O-Matic gen sets are also very entertaining, and as
neither the Kohler or the Lister have start motors (it's all done in
the generator head) it is uncanny watching the thing fire up.

The Listers had various devices for valve lifting and fuel pump
control that made it all a bit 'Black Magic' to watch as it turned
over and started up.
