[SEL] Questions on Battery box I built for a Hit and Miss engine.

Hey Men,
 
Is it cold enough for you, a friend of mine (knowing I had a wood shop)  
asked me to build him a battery box for a Hit and Miss engine, he wanted it  8X8X8 
inches inside, what I want to know is what size boxes are some of you  using 
and what type of battery's are you using, are they motor cycle bat. 12v.  dry 
type rechargeable or what and is this size box large enough for  average use.
