I'm going to make a tank and try the electrolysis rust removal trick that 
was discussed in debth here a while back. Question I have, is it safe on 
babbit bearings? If not, then how are they protected?

I've seen warnings, but so far I've never harmed any babbit, aluminum or
brass, including nameplates, when doing electrolysis.
