[SEL] Portland Set Up Reconsidered

Hi Dave,
When I was at Portland in 2005, it seemed like such a shame to have the
engines (and engine folks) out in the hot sun while unattended tractors
parked in the shade.
When we moved to our own grounds, we had engine display area in the woods
and also some out in the open, without shade. The shaded areas were much
more popular and the open area has since been taken over by tractor folks.
For the folks who are on the list and have not been to Portland, I want to
tell you that it is worth the trip. I had not been there in years and
showed up with an engine and an old gummer. Dave, Arnie, Steve Barr and
the other SEL folks sure made us feel welcome. So many folks to visit
with, so many nice things to see. My buddy still comments that the best
looking gals at the show were in the SEL area. Of course, being married, I
didn't notice....
