Hi again, Al.
I was a bit busy when I replied earlier.
I see Peter says you are having trouble getting SEL emails so I also sending this direct to you.
The reason it would be best to see pictures is because the FBM Z engines came in so many different models.
I have a 1916-1918 ?? 1 1/2 HP Hit-n-Miss Z that is headless.
Then I am not sure what year it is,,,, but setting out there in the snow is a 6HP FBM Z that is throttle governed.
Then there is the 1 1/2 HP Z style D. This is a much different enclosed crank FBM Z.
Or the 1 1/2 HP FBM Dishpan flywheel engines.
Please let me know if you are not able to send me a picture.
I am sure I could find pixs of all these engines already on-line.

We start with the carcus and internals of a 1.5HP Z model.
We have no carby, no gov gear and no maggy.
The question is:-
can this be made into a "hit & miss" or a "throttle governed" engine
just by bolting on the appropriate parts (ac/dc),
or,
is there something hiding in this carcus that I am oblivious too, that
will only allow it to lean one way (ac or dc).
TIA
Al
