Paul, Micromark sells a release agent. I've not used it with JB-Weld,
however. I don't see why it wouldn't work, though.

I've not had stellar luck with using the usual tricks-of-the-trade for a
JB-Weld release agent, such as smoking the item with a candle or acetylene
flame, or spraying with PAM. JB-Weld likes to stick too well!
You might have better luck filling the hole with JB-Weld, then drilling and
tapping. That is the method I use.
