Just dont spit in it and soot up the crank with acetylene smoke so the
babbit wont get stuck to it .
Which engine is this ? You still need to jig up the crank or use some kind
of shaft to locate it .
If it is on that big bessie ,THAT will be fun ! you can make a jig
consisting of two headless brass screws threaded into the
lower main journals that the crank will set on , screw em in and out until
everything lines up and then pour . You can leave em in place or
drill em out a little bit . Matters not .
