Hi all. This is normally how it goes. The IHC 1HP TITAN came with low tension
battery ignition.Optional set ups were offered by IHC.They were: Mag bkt on
bearing cap with an idler gear and Sumpter Jr mag.Same again but with Slow
speed pulley between mag and crank.(my engine has this set up) or Just slow
speed pulley drive and no mag. They also offered a Webster set up but I have
never seen one only in a catalogue that I have. The TOM THUMB was normally
High tension battery buzz coil ignition.IHC didn't give any other option
except for the low speed pulley set up.My TOM THUMB had a mag bkt of a TITAN
put on it and it seems this was done by another restorer and was nor
original. All the other TOM THUMBS I have seen with a mag bkt have had this
done to them by the same restorer here in OZ.This option was not offered by
IHC in any of there catalogues and does not show up in any of there parts
books.
