Hi all the SEL Guys,
I've copied this over from the "oldengine" list. It is about my
Wolseley Type R

Hi Kim,
Thanks for the praise.
I'm in two minds as to what I should do next - my plan was to
strip it down and repaint but I actually like it as it is now.
Maybe I should ask the lists to give me a vote. How about it ?
C'mon guys lets hear from you with some good explanations as to
why I should go this way or that. Must I strip it down and repaint it or
should I keep it looking like this.
My original plan was to build a trolley (transporter to you guys
living north of Mexico) as I have some good illustrations of what the
original looked like but I'm now also thinking that maybe a flat steel deck
covered with wooden floorboards and having removable wheels would also look
good. This is not an original idea - I saw it on one of your engines - I
cannot remember exactly whose it was - maybe Rick Strobel ? I think it was
a Goolds (Goulds) engine. The subject cropped up during a discussion on
Jacks. He had wheels that just "clipped in" for moving and loading but were
removed when in position at shows. Looked great standing flat on the ground.
This would also be good for "anchoring" the engine as I plan on
using it to drive a 1930's Ransomes "Moon" Corn Sheller.

Thanks in advance for all the replies I hope to get.
Keep the revs up (or down)
